It originally opened in 1922. George Eastman had a unique vision for the hall: it was originally a silent film theater. Throughout its history, Eastman students have frequently shared this stage with some of the world’s greatest musicians, conductors, and jazz musicians. All our large ensembles rehearse regularly and perform four concerts a semester on this stage.  Learn more about the Eastman Theatre.
