Rochester, NY--June 25, 2017--The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival 16th Edition continues today with eight free shows on outdoor stages and in the Big Tent (6 p.m.only). 
  • Today is the first day for the Lyric Theater presented by the Democrat and Chronicle. This is a Club Pass venue. Today's concert is the Zion Hill Mass Choir, which starts at 4 p.m.
  • The Avangrid Foundation RG&E Fusion Free Stage also opens today at the corner of East Ave and Chestnut. 
The festival continues through Saturday, July 1 featuring more than 1500 artists from 18 countries and more than 325 shows presented in three series - the Club Pass Series with 230+ shows, the headliner series of six shows and 95 free shows and events. The festival's 19 indoor and outdoor venues all within walking distance in Rochester's East End Cultural and Entertainment District.
Other highlights include a series of Youth Jazz Workshops June 26-30, jam sessions nightly, and two international series, Made in the UK and Nordic Jazz Now

Free Shuttle Service is available around the festival from 3 p.m. to midnight sponsored by Harris Beach PLLC. Wheelchair accessible.

Move to a Healthy Groove - Rochester Regional Health Street Teams will have ear plugs, sunglasses, rain ponchos (let's hope we don't need those) and other useful items.  Look for them walking around the fest or visit the First Aid tent on Main Street at Gibbs.
