Fred Costello

Fred Costello, born in Syracuse, New York, is a multi-talented musician with a varied career including national radio and TV appearances and numerous recording sessions for which he has either played or written.

Has appeared in Las Vegas, Hollywood, Canada, Bahamas and Mexico

Featured as Jazz Organist in numerous Jazz Festivals

Began career as a Jazz Accordionist before switching to organ

Written and recorded for Alexander Film Studios

Hosted "Jazz in The Morning" radio show for 10 years

Performed in 40 states during an 11-year road tour

A former semi-pro baseball player Fred has run a baseball camp since 1978

Has appeared with Mark Murphy, Johnny Smith, Chuck Mangione,  Slide Hampton, Bobby Darrin,
Gene Bertoncini, Steve Gadd, Doc Severinsen, Lew Soloff, Dewey Martin, Bill Doggett, Gene 
Cornish and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra among many others

Elected to the Rochester Sports Walk of Fame in 1999

Scouted for the Cleveland Indians

Awarded Critics Choice Award 2007

Received Press-Radio Club Award 2009

Released autobiography "A Lifetime of Nightclubs & Ballparks" book March 2010
"Spirit Of The International League Award" 2011

Has written for Sports Scene Magazine

Featured as top sports organist on NBC Game of the Week and Newsweek Magazine

Has turned down five major league teams as organist including the Yankees and Mets

Besides his music appearances, Fred heads up Costello Music, a teaching studio and band instrument rental service
