Rochester, NY--June 12, 2017-- The nine-day  Xerox Rochester International Festival (XRIJF) 16th Edition starts June 23 and continues through July 1. The annual festival draws around 200,000 people from around the world to see more than 1500 artists perform in 320+ concerts including 90+ free shows at 19 indoor and outdoor venues.

Uber Will Offer Ride Sharing in Rochester Starting June 29!

We are pleased to welcome Uber as an XRIJF sponsor. Just in time for the last three days of the festival, Uber is officially launching in Rochester on June 29 and riders will be able to start requesting Uber rides on this date.

The Ticket Shop is Open for Pass Pick up Before the Fest

The XRIJF Ticket Shop is open at the corner of Gibbs St. and East Ave. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday thru June 22. and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. June 23 to July 1. Pick up brochures and get info, buy headliner tickets and Club Passes, pick up your personalized Passes, or get passes personalized. Club Pass tickets must be redeemed for Passes at the Ticket Shop before attending a show. They cannot be redeemed at venues. 
Where to Park

XRIJF is held in downtown Rochester, NY's East End Cultural district. All venues are within walking distance of each other so park once and walk to everything.

The Festival does not operate any parking but there are many surface lots and ramp parking garages conveniently located near festival venues. 

Many side streets will be closed.  We ask that people please read the signs and make sure that parking is allowed wherever they are parking. Many lots are private for the use of their patrons only, and cars will be towed. The Festival cannot take any responsibility people who park illegally.
Ride the Free Shuttle 
We have a new shuttle bus this year that will circulate all 9 days of the fest from 3PM to midnight stopping at key Festival venues. Onboard WiFi and GPS tracking will  be available. The shuttle is accessible and accommodates two wheelchairs. Sponsored by Harris Beach PLLC.  See map.

Eating at the Fest

There is no shortage of places to eat at the fest.  Food and beverages are available at:
  • Food trucks and vendors on E. Main St. between Chestnut St. and Gibbs St.
  • Vendors in and outside the Rochester Regional Health Big Tent
  • Food trucks and vendors on East Ave. near Chestnut St. and Gibbs St. on Fridays and Saturdays
  • Food trucks and vendors near the Midtown Stage on the last night, Sat 7/1 after 6PM.
Food and beverages are also served at the following Club Pass venues: Harro East Ballroom, Max at Eastman Place, The Little Theatre and Anthology.  There are also many restaurants in the festival area to enjoy.

What to Know about Free Shows 

XRIJF is presenting more than 90 free shows and events this year for music lovers of all ages. From concerts on several outdoor stages, to free jam sessions and youth jazz workshops, there is something for everyone.  Bring portable chairs. Food is available from many food trucks and vendors. No tickets required and all shows go on rain or shine. 
Save Time in Line System Offered for Two Busy Venues

At two of our busiest venues, Kilbourn Hall and Max of Eastman Place (6 PM & 6:15 PM shows only), we are once again offering a wristband system to save patrons time waiting in line and giving them more time to enjoy other activities around the festival. Club Pass holders and those paying cash at the door may line up starting around 4 p.m. and receive a color-coded wristband that will specify a return time to see the show. People must be present and in line to get a wristband. See schedule

All venues are handicapped accessible.  The free Shuttle sponsored by Harris Beach, PLLC accommodates two wheelchairs.

Individuals needing assistance may call the Festival office in advance at (585) 454-2060 or see a volunteer at any festival venue entrance. Individuals being dropped off at the festival may pull up at the corner of Main St. and Gibbs
