The festival's 19th edition, originally scheduled for June 19-27, has been rescheduled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Rather than giving up during this time of uncertainty, we are continuing to take a hopeful course and are forging ahead to the best of our ability to reschedule our 19th edition festival for October 2 to 10, 2020. Sara Rogers

Sara received her Bachelor of Music degree in 2015 from Nazareth College of Rochester, where she studied Music Therapy, Psychology, and Jazz Studies. While at Nazareth, she received the 2015 Music Therapy Award as well as the Raymond Shiner Jazz Award. Sara completed her internship in Rochester, NY at Mary Cariola Children’s Center, where she worked with students ages 3-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as multiple to complex disabilities. Additionally, she has experience working with individuals diagnosed with aphasia, dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, post-stroke symptoms, and TBI/AnBI, as well as various diagnoses within the mental health field. 

After spending 5 unforgettable, transformative years in Rochester, Sara moved back home to Buffalo to be with my family, spread my wings, and eat real pizza. She currently provides music therapy and music instruction with a variety of organizations throughout Western New York, including Baker Victory Services, the Community Music School of Buffalo, Liberty POST, Buffalo Niagara Music Therapy Services, and her own private studio. Sara is also a faculty member at Villa Maria College, where she created the curricula for and teaches Psychology of Music, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Performance Psychology.
